SEO & AI Search Optimisation

Help more of the right people find your business online.
Having a good-looking website is only part of the job. It also needs to be easy for search engines & increasingly AI-powered search tools to understand what your business does, where you work & who your services are relevant to.
I offer practical SEO & AI search optimisation for small & medium-sized businesses, helping improve how your website is structured, written & understood online.
Whether I’m building a new website or working with an existing one, the aim is the same: to give your business the best possible chance of being found by the people already searching for what you offer.
What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. Put simply, it’s the process of improving your website so search engines such as Google can better understand your business & show your pages for relevant searches.
Good SEO isn’t about stuffing pages with keywords or trying to trick Google. It’s about creating a useful, technically sound website with clear content, logical structure & strong signals about your services, products & location.
Search is also changing. People are increasingly using AI-powered search & assistants to research businesses, products & services. That makes clear, authoritative & well-structured website content even more important.
How I approach SEO.
I don’t believe every business needs an expensive ongoing SEO contract.
I start by looking at what you already have, what people are likely to search for, where the opportunities are & whether anything on your website could be holding you back.
Depending on your business, this might include improving:
-
Website structure & individual service pages
-
Page titles, descriptions, headings & on-page SEO
-
Local SEO & location-based searches
-
Website copy & relevant search terms
-
Image optimisation & accessibility
-
Technical website issues & mobile performance
-
Google Search Console & GA4 tracking
-
Internal links & calls to action
-
Content that answers genuine customer questions
-
Website structure & information that can be more easily understood by AI search tools
For some businesses, that means a focused SEO tidy-up. For others, it becomes part of a wider website rebuild or an ongoing strategy.
The goal
The goal isn’t simply “more website traffic.”
I’d rather help you attract 100 relevant visitors than 1,000 people who were never likely to become customers.
SEO should ultimately help your business achieve something - more enquiries, bookings, purchases, calls, visits or awareness in the areas you want to grow.
And because SEO is a longer-term process, I use data wherever possible to understand what people are finding, what they’re doing when they arrive & where we can improve next.
Already have a website but not sure how well it's performing?
I can review what you currently have and identify where improvements are worth making before you commit to anything larger.
